Asylum for Saamir: An Iraqi Finds Refuge in New York

Saamir A-Ali shares his thoughts on what he thinks about what has happened in his homeland, Iraq, in the last four years and what will become of it in the future. Saamir has provided these photographs of himself recovering after being shot en route to Baghdad and the car he was driving at the time. The last photos, taken by Tina Shah, are of him in his Middle Village home.
